Now living on the North Shore, Lauryne immigrated from South Africa more than a decade ago. The grace and love of colour radiated by the people of Africa, the diversity of cultures and the ever-changing landscape of her homeland are reflected in her love of vibrant and bold colours.

Using her favourite medium, acrylic on canvas, Lauryne portrays the diversity, beauty, character, vitality – and the emotions- of people, in narrative portraits that draw the viewer in as much with their form and colour as with their expressions.  Lauryne, a full time, award winning artist, is one of only seven world wide to have been recently selected as a feature artist by an American jewellery company.

Lauryne was also a feature artist in the BMW Magazine(NZ)

Lauryne is a member of the NZ Art Guild and The NZ Academy of Fine Arts.
